When i bumped into Verny at the Pismo Surf-N-Turf in 2006, he informed me of
a trip to Death Valley that they had planned for Thanksgiving and invited me
along. It took me all of 2 seconds to accept and the planning began.
This would be my first time in Death Valley an i had no clue what to
expect. Verny and his friends/family had something of a tradition going
and this was to be there 4 year in a row going over Thanksgiving weekend.
There is lots to see in Death Valley and it would take approx 1.5-2 full
weeks of exploring to see most of the big sites. We only had 4 days, so i
left the planning to them, as they knew the area. That turned out perfect,
as they planned a great route and we see some of the biggest attractions that DVNP
has to offer:
- The Racetrack
- Scottys Castle
- Titus Canyon
- Dantes View
- Mosaic Canyon
- Tea Kettle Junction
